Dom was born and bred in Cornwall, until moving to Hampshire in 2017, he is married to Hannah who is primary school teacher and they have 1 daughter who was born in the first lockdown in May 2020. Ordained as an Anglican Priest in 2011, Dom spent six years in Cornwall before moving to Hampshire in August 2017 to be the first ever Lead Chaplain to Hampshire Constabulary.
During his time in Cornwall Dom was a volunteer police chaplain with Devon and Cornwall Police based at Falmouth Police Station. Whilst at Falmouth, Dom became famous (in his station!) for always bringing in cake – something he has carried with him into his role in Hampshire. Since being a Lead Chaplain, Dom has worked hard to build a team of 22 volunteer chaplains across Hampshire from six different faith groups. Hampshire Constabulary’s Chaplaincy recently won the award for ‘Volunteer Team of the Year’. Dom is also the Force Religion and Belief Champion is passionate about enabling people of all faiths and none to flourish in the workplace.
Dom was voted onto the Police Chaplaincy UK board in 2018 and is now seeking re-election.
Since becoming a director of Police Chaplaincy UK, Dom has taken on the role of communications officer for PCUK and runs the social media and website for PCUK. Over the last few years Dom has worked with his fellow Directors to ensure that PCUK is regularly communicating to its members, keeping them informed of the work of the national board ensuring that communications are regular and relevant.
