Another week of great activity from across the UK, with excellent work from police and probation in London, Derbyshire and Wales.

Foot Patrol of the Week

Our foot patrol of the week goes to PCSO Hyder of the Alvechurch and Wythall Policing Team, for spending time out on foot to prevent and detect anti-social behaviour and crime in the area around Wiggins Park. Keep up the good work!

Community Payback

North London has been benefiting from a surge in Community Payback focused on cleaning up the streets – and making them safer. It’s great to see a probation team focus Payback in this way, and it will undoubtedly be making the streets safer and improving the quality of life for local residents, all while helping build confidence in the use of Community Payback as a punishment.

Arrest of the Week

Derbyshire’s Roads Policing Unit had a great crime-fighting result when eagle-eyed officers stopped a vehicle, revealing a disqualified driver, drugs, cash and a knife. Their actions undoubtedly helping make Derbyshire and South Yorkshire safer for us all!

Traffic Stop

This week’s traffic stop goes to police in Wandsworth who stopped a speeding motorist, and made us all a little safer by unearthing the fact that the driver was in fact committing a number of offences, and was subsequently arrested and their car seized. Great work!

Warrants and Raids

Police in Bridgend had a great result when they raided an address in response to information received. A large quantity of cannabis plants were found, and hopefully crime at this particular premises has now been stamped out!
