Speaking at the launch of the Public Safety Foundation think tank this week, the Home Office’s Queen of Hearts declared that police “need to be seen to be serious” and should respond to real crimes, such as antisocial behaviour, as opposed to pandering to the snivelling snowflake brigade. The policing she believes in “isn’t riven with political correctness but enshrined in good, old-fashioned common sense”.
