The Public Safety Foundation

Writing in today’s Telegraph, in the wake of protests outside hotels housing illegal immigrants, our Founder calls on those in Westminster to confront the migrant crisis head-on, if public safety and the resilience of our police forces are to be maintained:

“Police officers are not superhumans, they have enough work to do without also having to deal with an ever-rising tide of undocumented men being allowed into the country and dispersed across it.

The British people have had enough – enough of being ignored, enough of seeing their communities transformed without consent, enough of fearing for the safety of their daughters, wives and neighbours. They are not extremists. They are not racists. They are citizens who expect their government to uphold law, order, and the security of the realm.

And yet, instead of action, they are told to watch their language. At a press conference this week, the chief constable of Essex urged people to “consider the consequences” of their words after criticism for his handling of a protest in Epping – as though the problem is the public speaking out, not the failure of successive governments to act decisively.

If those in Westminster don’t confront this crisis head-on, they are risking a level of disorder not seen in these isles for a very long time.”
