As we near the half-way point of 2023, we’ve seen yet more great work from police officers fighting crime and disorder this week. From as far afield as Canning Town to Cumbria, and Manchester to Glasgow. Take a look!

Traffic Stop of the Week

Traffic stops provide a great opportunity to take the fight against crime to those criminals using the roads. In this case police officers in Manchester stopped and arrested suspected thieves using stolen motorbikes to commit crimes. Great work!

Foot Patrol of the Week

Police officers on foot in Canning Town got another great result when they took this knife and the drugs the person was carrying off the streets. Brilliant crime-fighting work, grounded in a neighbourhood policing team, well done making the area safer!

Community Payback

We know that cleaner streets are safer streets – and that’s just as true in Cumbria, where public spaces including beaches have been made cleaner and safer thanks to the use of Community Payback by probation.

Stop and Search

Stop and search is such a vital tool – as in this case from Glasgoe where a man was searched and found to be in possession of an offensive weapon, undoubtedly making the area safer!

Warrants and Raids

Another week, another raid! This time the Wakefield Impact Team took doors in Knottingley, where they turned up £750,000 worth of drugs, a variety of weapons, and more than £30,000 in cash. Great work!
